# Reyedar

> Reyedar is a MedTech company and a spin-off of the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG). It makes SONDA, an eye-tracking assessment of visual function for eye-care professionals.

## Key facts

- SONDA processes oculomotor behaviour data to obtain clinically relevant metrics. It is for use by healthcare professionals for the detection of visual function loss as an aid in the diagnosis and staging of primary open-angle glaucoma in adults.
- SONDA software: CE-marked medical device, Class IIa under the EU Medical Device Regulation 2017/745 (Rule 11). SONDA Hub hardware: Class I, EN 60601 compliant.
- The test takes about two minutes. The patient follows a moving target while wearable eye-tracking sensors record their gaze; no button presses are needed.
- Clinical evidence in glaucoma (see the Clinical evidence page): global AUC 97%; accuracy 86% in early, 96% in moderate and 96% in late primary open-angle glaucoma; SONDA Score correlates with Zeiss HFA mean sensitivity (r = 0.78); no learning effect between a baseline visit and a one-week retest (0.72 vs 0.73, p = 0.423).
